PC is stuck in a boot cycle or crashing repeatedly
System fails to start and repeatedly powers off at 60°
I recently upgraded my PC and placed it into a new case. Now it doesn’t function properly. Here’s what happened and the steps I attempted to resolve the issue:

Initially, the PC started normally and entered BIOS, where I received a notification about the new CPU. After adjusting the RAM frequency in BIOS to match the installed RAM, the system crashed. Pressing the power button for around 60 seconds had no effect, after which it powered on briefly before shutting down again. This pattern repeated, so I disconnected the power supply and reset the BIOS by shorting the CLRTC pins on the motherboard.

Following that, when I tried to boot the PC again, it remained unresponsive for about two minutes. It then started up suddenly and attempted to enter BIOS, but was interrupted and crashed once more.

Later, after removing all but one RAM stick, the system finally loaded into Windows. After sitting idle for a few minutes, it turned off and entered an infinite loop of power cycles. I discovered that one RAM stick wasn’t properly seated, so I adjusted its position. Once fixed, the PC booted into Windows and I ran a benchmarking tool. Using MSI Afterburner, I observed temperatures rising sharply and the system shutting down after reaching 60°C on the GPU.

I repeated this process multiple times to confirm the link between the temperature spike and the crashes.

Once another crash occurred, the PC would power on several minutes later but displayed a CPU fan speed error message. In BIOS I checked the fan settings and confirmed the CPU fan was functioning correctly. After exiting BIOS and opening Windows, it crashed again, and upon rebooting I saw a blue screen of death.

Eventually, after about 15 minutes, the PC turned on again. I opened a game to check temperatures; the GPU reached 60°C and continued increasing, eventually reaching 80°C before crashing once more. I booted it again and repeated the test, which also resulted in a crash above 80°C.

I’m unsure what to do next. If anyone has suggestions or advice, I’d appreciate it.

Hello there! I see you're asking about the BIOS version for your motherboard. Could you please share the make and model of your case?

Thank you for the greeting! I noticed you're using version BIOS 5102 (dated 2023/06/12), which should work with the latest CPU. Your setup is an NZXT H7 Flow from 2022.
