I’m having trouble with my PC, it crashes right after the first 10 minutes while playing demanding games. It doesn’t happen in lighter indie titles and isn’t due to temperature changes. The screen freezes, static noise comes from the headset, and I can only force shut it down. After shutting it down, it works normally for hours—this suggests overheating isn’t the issue. Once I restart after a while, the same problems repeat, and I have to do another forced shutdown. The cycle keeps going.

I’ve updated the drivers from NVIDIA, updated the motherboard, and even performed a clean Windows install, but the problem persists. I’m not sure if it’s related to the power supply unit or the motherboard itself. Please help.

System specs:
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- RTX 3060 12 GB M.2
- Team TForce Dark Alpha 16 GB DDR4
- AsRock B450M Steel Legend
- PSU: Gigabyte P650B Bronze
- All components have been running for nearly five years, except the VGA and CPU. Probably just old age.

Hello there, new member!
Are you using the BIOS version for your motherboard?
Your PSU model is Gigabyte p650B bronze.
This could be the cause of your issues. I recommend getting a stable 750W power supply. Gigabyte isn't a good choice for PSU brands to invest in.

the bios version is the latest, maybe i should try the psu one. what else could have caused the problem?
could it be overheating the gpu? am i correct that my temperatures aren't the issue? otherwise, i won't be able to play after shutdown.
