PC fans spinning loudly while the system is not using any processing power
I have an HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0002 and most of the time the case fan operates at maximum speed when I power it on. The unusual behavior is that it begins running quickly shortly after startup, similar to when I’m using the desktop. It starts fast and then either stops abruptly or runs continuously until it ceases. I’m trying to find a solution without replacing the fan, and I’ve updated the BIOS and reset it to default, but that didn’t help.
Initially, the motherboard must include a fan header to manage fans. Fans can be connected directly, though not every board has one. When fans are linked to the motherboard via a PSU, they receive power and operate at full speed. If you're worried about fans stopping unexpectedly, it's unclear what might be causing the issue.
