PC fan or motherboard?
PC fan or motherboard?
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/DPZCHG Help, I've had this pc for a while now there has been no problems for the majority of the time. However, recently when i start up the pc the fans all start up and ramp up, then the back one seems to just continue ramping up until it suddenly completely stops (it still spins but very slowly and i suspect this is due to the air from front fans and cpu fans) the white led of the fan still stays turned on. The pc will continue to turn on but it will continue to make a very unhealthy loud noise which sounds like a lawnmower (but obviously a bit dialled down). This problem doesn't happen every time a start-up the pc and i find that if shut it down and restart after about 5 minutes it's fine. My main question is: is this a motherboard/ bios / weird software issue or is it that the fan has just reached the end of it's life (if so what fan should i get to replace it) The Corsair AF120 (2018) 52 CFM 120 mm Fan is the fan at the back which i think is causing the problems
Your computer might be getting too hot. Check how your fans are working by restarting into Setup (BIOS) at the provided link. Remove the side panel and clear any debris. Use compressed air to blow out all fans, including the power supply unit fan. Increase or decrease fan speeds as needed.
