I've encountered issues with my PC after installing the GPU. The main problem is that certain actions cause the screen to go black, fans speed up to maximum, and then the system hangs for a few minutes before restarting. The latest incident happened when I tried launching Predecessor on the Epic Games Store—I could open the game but it crashed on the first loading screen. This pattern also appears in: Hellblade with ray tracing in Minecraft, Tomb Raider while tweaking anti-aliasing, and I've already tried troubleshooting without success. My hardware includes Windows 10 Home 64-bit, ASUS Prime B650-Plus (BIOS 1616), AMD Ryzen 5 7600, 4x8 GB DDR5 4800MHz RTX 3080, Crucial BX 500 SSD, and Gigabyte UD850GM power supply. I’m unable to access perfmon/report data or collect a BSOD dump file. The link to the dump is provided: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TpazCDS...sp=sharing
The dump files point to the Nvidia driver in the general info section, but with these crashes (DPC_Watchdog_Violation) it's difficult for the OS to determine which driver is responsible. You should examine the current and pending DPCs from multiple crashes to identify any shared drivers that might be causing the issue. In each case, the next execution involves the AMD GPU driver, amdkmdag.sys. Consider disabling the iGPU in the BIOS.
Turn off igpu, use DDU in safe mode, restart then install the NVIDIA driver. That should resolve it.
Thank you for your feedback. It seems the issue persists despite adjusting settings and reinstalling drivers. I’ll proceed with checking the BIOS update and will ask for a fresh BSOD dump if needed.
It seems you're considering replacing your old AMD FirePro GPU for testing, though you're aware it may come with its own challenges.
