I just changed my BIOS to install a 5800X3D on a MSI B450 Mortar Max board. My system stopped responding even after reinstalling the old CPU. Initially, I updated to version 7B89v2K using M-Flash through the old BIOS settings. The machine booted fine once. Then I replaced the R5 3600 with the 5800X3D and swapped the cooler to a Peerless Assassin 120 SE. After restarting everything, fans spun and lights came on, but no image appeared after about 15 minutes. I tried another BIOS update to the version listed on MSI for the 5800X3D (7B89v2F) using a USB drive and BIOS Flash button, but still no display. I also attempted to reset the CMOS. After swapping back to the old setup, the issue persisted even with the original CPU. Please help! What steps did you take?

I identified the problem. My old Asus VG248QE monitor was acting up, causing it to stop working unexpectedly. It seemed to fix itself by reconnecting after a short delay. Once the PC started up normally, the monitor would randomly fail when I changed the CPUs...
