I encountered the same problem when I initially set up my G3258 on a Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A... A single RAM stick worked, but two were necessary for a stable boot. It turned out the cooler wasn't installed correctly and the CPU didn’t make solid contact with the socket pins. A few had slight bends. By observing reflections, I adjusted the pins carefully so light reflected uniformly. After reattaching the CPU and following Intel’s instructions for the stock cooler, the system booted smoothly with both sticks and ran reliably ever since, even with a Ryzen 5 4670K. In short, your issue seems related to gradual loosening from heat, gravity, weight, and vibration over time. If you remove the cooler and CPU, clean them, reapply thermal paste, and try again—starting with one stick of RAM can help. I also noticed on my Arctic Freezer eSports setup with a Ryzen 3600 that the screws didn’t fully secure, taking longer to tighten than the CM212 Evo.
