PC fails to start after cleaning and reconnecting drives. Automatic repair attempt did not succeed. Assistance needed!
Last night I cleared out my PC and unplugged all drives except the main M.2 SSD. After rebuilding everything and launching, I hoped everything would work. Windows repair began but then stopped, telling me it couldn't fix the problem. I left only the boot drive connected, and the screen asked to reboot with the correct boot device selected. I'm really confused about what went wrong since I haven't changed any hardware, yet Windows keeps acting strangely. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Windows 10? It seems like your drives might be connected in a different order now. They could be using new SATA connectors. I’m not sure if there’s another reason for this.
