pc fails to post and display red CPU indicator on motherboard connectors once
I purchased replacement components for my prebuilt system from Amazon. I upgraded it with an MSI Z690 Pro Wi-Fi, a 3060 Ti processor, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. After removing the old parts, I assembled everything using YouTube tutorials. When I power on the PC, all cooling fans—CPU, GPU, PSU—spin except for the case fans. The CPU light on the motherboard stays illuminated for about six seconds before the system attempts to restart. Regarding the MOTO MOBILE BOARD image, please confirm if you're missing a cable or if the fans are compatible with your setup. I also have a photo of my component list; it shows the fans are 120mm Apevia RGB models.
Ensure the power cable is connected. Check if the system starts after connecting it.
Sorry, this was an old picture. I’ll send you a video showing the current setup after it powers off. Once it stops, it will keep looping on and off like IMG_6189.mov. I fixed the case fans not working by following the steps from the fan hub to the PSU cables. The red CPU light on the motherboard is now visible.
It would make sense to include CPU_PWR2 as well. The manual doesn't specify whether it's necessary.
I connected it to Power 2 only recently because I'm sure my power supply only has an 8-pin connector. Now the PC won't start and it flashes the CPU red LED a few times whenever I try to power it on. The whole system doesn’t turn on, and I’ve checked the RAM but nothing changed. Edited July 27, 2022 by connortn
the psu is provided with a single 8-pin connector that divides into two 4-pin connectors for the cpu. you can review the details via this link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0160XJAQK?tag...th=1&psc=1
