PC fails to function properly after a Windows reset on an i9900K model.
Hello forum members, I recently restored my PC a few days back. After that, the machine failed to boot properly and displayed a BIOS menu with various options (Enter BIOS / Load Optimized Settings / reboot). I chose the reboot option with optimized settings. Initially, it looked like everything was functioning correctly. When I launched my main game, Apex Legends, I experienced some jittering. I explored the BIOS settings and tried all possible configurations, but nothing resolved the issue.
I attempted a memory stress test using XTU and noticed performance drops during those jitter events, though my frame rate stayed above 250 FPS. I have attached several screenshots and an Intel SSU output file for reference. It seems the problem might be related to instability during gameplay. My current setup includes an Intel i9900K CPU, RTX 3090 GPU, Gigabyte Z390 board, 16GB G.Skill RipJaws V RAM, and a MPG Core Liquid cooler. The 500GB SSD and 2TB HDD are also installed.
Could anyone help identify the cause? Thank you for your assistance!
Reset BIOS to its standard setting since not all improvements apply uniformly across devices. Step 2. Reinstall Windows.
Verify if background programs are active during your gaming session. Even Discord and Chrome can significantly affect your PC performance.
