Hi Everyone,

I'm reaching out for some guidance, as I'm really confused about what's happening with my system.
To give you a quick overview, here are my specs: everything was bought new from reputable stores. Some components were acquired a year ago, others more recently! All parts have always been original, and I haven't ever purchased any used items for this build.

Here’s what I have:

- ROG Strix B550-A Gaming (1 Year Old)
- Ryzen 9 5950x (1 Year Old)
- 4 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM at 3200MHz (1 Year Old)
- ROG Strix RTX 4080 (New)
- Corsair HX1000w 80+ Platinum (1 Year Old)
- 2 x Samsung M.2 970 Evo Pro 2TB (Health checked, looks good)
- Corsair H150i Elite AIO (1 Year Old)
- 10 x Corsair SP120 Fans (6 intake, 4 exhaust) (New)

So far, the build has run smoothly for about four months without any problems. Everything worked perfectly until recently. About two weeks ago, I experienced a random crash. At first, I dismissed it as an odd occurrence, but then it happened again—this time with both screens glitching. The first incident lasted a few minutes, and the second one ended with a black screen. There were no error messages or blue screens logged in Event Viewer. I checked everything, thought maybe a driver issue, and even reinstalled my GPU drivers after a full reset, hoping it would fix itself.

While I was experiencing crashes, I wasn’t doing anything unusual, which only added to the confusion. Over time, the crashes became more frequent—sometimes while playing games, other times while watching YouTube, or even just after turning on the PC. Each time it ended with a black screen and no errors. Interestingly, when I did crash, I could hear audio for about 30 seconds to a minute afterward, which was odd.

I've also tried a BIOS update and reseating my GPU, but that only helped temporarily. After that, the crashes resumed. I updated the board drivers and checked all connections from my PSU, but nothing resolved the issue.

I’ve attached some screenshots for reference.
This is my second monitor, currently running Microsoft Edge...
Also, I was trying to play DayZ on it, but my PC seemed to have other plans.

It’s been a bit of a temperamental machine—sometimes it crashes every five minutes, or sometimes it works for hours before giving up. I’m trying to figure out what triggers these crashes, but so far, nothing concrete.
I’d really appreciate any advice you can offer. This is my first attempt at fixing things, and I’m hoping this helps.

Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Corsair AIO paired with my CPU and a very well ventilated case (temperatures rarely exceed 65 degrees C).
You talk about a well ventilated case and an AIO for the CPU—why not list the make and models of both?
Some components were bought about a year ago.
Which parts are new, and which are older but still in use?
I completed a full fresh installation.
Where did you get the installer for your OS? Speaking of OS, did you let the system download and install drivers automatically for your platform, or did you install it offline and manually add all necessary drivers via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting "Run as Administrator"?

Hello, your suggested changes have been applied.
Regarding the operating system, I haven't reinstalled it yet. I intend to do so tonight when I have more time. Initially, it was obtained from Windows, and I installed all drivers myself from the manufacturer's website. The GPU drivers are installed via GeForce Experience, but I've always preferred clean installs to avoid conflicts.
