PC experiences unexpected restarts or failure to start.
The specifications detail the hardware configuration and recent troubleshooting steps taken.
Hardware includes Inno3D Geforce GTX 1080 iChill 3x, PS Seasonic 80+ Gold, 650W, SSR-650fx, SSD Samsung EVO 860 Sata, Patriot Viper Elite 16Gb (8 x 2), i5 8600 with stock cooler, Asus Prime H370-A, and another M2 SSD from Kingston.
All components except the second SSD are over five years old.
Issues began roughly a month ago with unexpected reboots while playing Rust, leading to random restarts ranging from twice daily to complete failure. Reboots occur even at startup, not just during high load.
Additionally, the system won’t boot and requires repeated PSU power adjustments before it starts.
Recent attempts to resolve included reinstalling Windows, formatting SSDs, running diagnostics (memtest, Intel CPU test, GPU test), removing RAM modules, uninstalling the GPU, replacing the PSU and GPU with older parts, verifying all cables, removing the motherboard battery for 10 minutes before reinserting, applying new thermal paste, inspecting the motherboard for damaged capacitors.
Suspicions point toward a potential motherboard or CPU failure; if confirmed, replacement parts will be purchased.
Concerns also exist about CPU degradation from prolonged gaming sessions with high temperatures (90–100°C).
Windows logs indicate only "Sudden power loss" entries.
Notes added: motherboard not included in specs; additional actions recorded.

Seasonic 80+ Gold, 650W
Seasonic represents the brand, while 80+ Gold denotes the claimed 80+ efficiency and 650W power output. What is the model of this PSU? How long has it been in use?
Can you keep the BIOS running forever?
Hello, thank you for the details. My PSU model is SSR-650FX. All components are five years old except the second SSD, which is two years old. Also, reboots occur in the BIOS.
