The effectiveness of a PSU tester depends on the failure mode. Swapping in a fresh unit is usually the most reliable approach. I understand that PSU testers are affordable, but a voltmeter could offer better value and versatility for additional checks.

Are there particular PSUs you suggest? If it's really the problem, I wouldn't want to stick with EVGA once more.

Attempt to begin without a graphics card and without any RAM installed. Do you hear any beeps (assuming the PC beeper is connected)? If there are none, I would start considering the motherboard.

Seasonic GX, PX, TX, Corsair RMe, HXi, AXi models are suitable options. Anything in the A tier would work well with a minimum of 850 watts. The most affordable reliable PSU available in the US right now is this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ph...-m...50fnfagu-4
