This problem has been quite challenging to identify. My computer frequently crashes, usually after switching tabs or closing a game for a few minutes. It often forces a hard restart, sometimes rebooting completely on its own. I’ve performed various diagnostics—Firmware Update, memory tests, stress tests, and hardware checks—to eliminate potential hardware faults. All tests ran smoothly without errors. For troubleshooting, I disconnected all devices except essential ones (mouse, keyboard, monitor), updated drivers and BIOS, installed all Windows updates, ran DISM and SFCscan, reset the BIOS to defaults, reinstalled Windows using the keep settings option, and even tried removing a recent update. Interestingly, my issues began around KB5074109, but they continued after uninstalling that update. Sometimes the system restarts when launching a game, especially if it’s running in the background with Discord open. The crashes seem linked to specific processes like dxgkrnl.sys and nvlddmkm.sys. My machine uses an RTX 5080 GPU with a Power Supply MPG A1000G.
