Pc stops working when I press alt tab, and it shows the system is in safe mode each time it boots. It goes to BIOS but doesn’t restart. Need to fully shut it down and turn it back on? Specs are: 6700 xt, Ryzen 7 5800x3d, 36gb 3600, 750 gold, B550 plus. The issue seems linked to the old RX 580, but not sure if it affects this model.

OS - edition, version?
What prompted the use of ALT-TAB?
Check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.
Are there any error codes, warnings, or informational events recorded right before or during the crashes?
I suspect another application or utility might have interrupted key presses, preventing the OS from functioning properly.

Is the 6700xt card set up for the PCIEx 1 Port in the BIOS? You can test it on another PC. Try resetting the CMOS by taking out the CMOS battery for a few hours, then putting it back in and installing the 6700XT card to check if the motherboard recognizes it and if the system boots into Windows. If it doesn’t work, the card might be faulty.
