PC Crashes While Playing – No Blue Screen, Just Shuts Down
Hi everyone,
I’m facing a problem with my PC that randomly powers off completely while playing games. There’s no blue screen or error message—just an instant shutdown, like someone turned the power off.
Here’s what I have:
Processor: Intel Core i3 (10th Gen)
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT
Power Supply: BeQuiet 600W (model uncertain, old unit)
Memory: 2× 8 GB, passed MemTest86
Operating System: Windows 11 (just installed)
I’ve tried checking temperatures, which stayed around 60 °C even when under load. MemTest86 found no issues. The GPU was stress-tested with Unigine Heaven and performed stably. I set the power plan to High Performance and verified the cables.
The shutdowns seem to occur only during gaming sessions, not when using other applications like browsing or watching videos. It appears the PSU could be the problem—possibly failing to deliver consistent power when both CPU and GPU are under strain. I don’t have a backup PSU to test this.
Anyone else had similar experiences or advice on how to investigate further?
Thanks in advance!
