I understand it's a lengthy explanation, but the latter part just offers extra tips. The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12x 3.70GHz So.AM4 WOF MSI X570-A PRO is an AMD X570 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX 12GB model with a Samsung SSD, BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, 750W, quiet. Pure Power 11 Windows 10 Home 64-bit. Not overclocked. This build often crashes during gameplay—especially when closing programs or entering cutscenes. Usually it triggers a system crash screen followed by a reboot, or the game freezes with one monitor going black and displaying a high-contrast filter. Recently, crashes have shifted more to mid-game situations, particularly in titles like Hunt Showdown and Rainbow Six Siege. After rebooting, everything works until another crash occurs randomly. These incidents tend to happen under low CPU, RAM, and high GPU load. It didn’t fail during a 40-minute full render, stayed stable in Prime95 for 15 minutes, and the GPU didn’t overheat. The issue seems tied to low-end components or mismatched RAM. I checked G.Skill memory listings but it wasn’t listed there. Possible causes: RAM not compatible with my motherboard, or a GPU problem. I suspect the memory is correct, but the site doesn’t show it. I tried running MemTest and updating BIOS, but nothing resolved it. Power spikes during rendering didn’t trigger crashes, though. Thermal readings stayed normal. Software updates helped only briefly. I’m unsure how to confirm this theory. What I’ve ruled out: power surges, overheating, or unstable drivers. I don’t know how to test further. Anyone else have faced similar problems? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
