Pc crashes and restarts when under heavy load
Recently my pc has been experiencing frequent crashes when under heavy usage. It simply shuts down completely and restarts immediately. I’m unsure of the exact reason, but I think it might be connected to the power supply unit. Another observation is that it appears to crash much more quickly when the LED strip inside the computer is activated. Also, when turned off, it lights up and the brighter the load, the more intense the LED becomes. I haven’t physically interacted with the pc or modified any BIOS settings. This issue also occurred before but stopped after a brief period, so I didn’t pay much attention at the time. I’ve attached some photos of the LED turning off and a list of my PC specifications. It’s worth mentioning that my RAM has been overclocked from 2400 MHz to 2666 MHz. I received a be quiet system power 9 500w 80 plus bronze PSU (I’m almost certain this is the one in my pc because it matches exactly, although I haven’t thoroughly checked it yet since it’s a prebuilt unit). I also verified the voltages and took a screenshot of them at the moment of the crash just in case.
A PSU swap would be advisable.
The +12V RGB LED strip isn't consuming enough power to trigger the PSU trip. But if the PSU is unstable, it might cause serious issues.
Be Quiet! units generally aren't reliable. Without knowing the PSU's age, it's difficult to assess its condition.
In any case, opt for a high-quality PSU in the 650W range. Examples include Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi or Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium series.

It's a prebuilt unit, which isn't ideal but I'm not too concerned since I'm not very experienced and didn't want to risk damaging anything. I bought it about four years ago, so the PSU might be that age. Could it fail quickly?
Also, are there methods to verify if the PSU is the issue without moving it to another computer? I don’t have much control right now, so any advice or ideas would be greatly helpful.
What are the complete specifications, specifically the power supply unit model or part number?

- 2x goodram 8gb 2400mhz cl15 iridium black ram (overclocked to 2666mhz but I went back to default to check if it affects anything)
- asus prime b460 plus mobo
- silentium pc fera 3 he 1224 cpu cooler (not entirely sure because I didn’t get any part boxes with the prebuilt, but it seems to match)
- sega barracuda 1tb hdd
- adata xpg gammix s11 pro 250gb m.2 ssd for os
- be quiet system power 9 500w 80 plus bronze psu (there’s a sticker on the back with 200-240vac written, which matches this model)
- 2x case cooler (model not specified)
With F-suffix CPU, there isn't anything other to do. Now, if your CPU would be normal i5-10400, then you could remover RX 5600XT from the system and hook monitor to MoBo. But F-suffix means that CPU doesn't have iGPU in it and you have to use dedicated GPU to see an image. Low quality PSU. And it came with 3 years of warranty. So, it is way past it's "expected lifespan". With this, you have a choice: 1. Don't turn the PC on until you have a new PSU. 2. Keep using the PC without any heavy loads (e.g no gaming) and cross your fingers that PSU will last. 3. Keep using the PC as normal and look how far can you push your luck. Regarding #2 and #3, it is matter of time until PSU goes "boom", releases magic smoke and can fry everything it is connected to (aka your whole PC). For 2nd opinion about your PSU quality, look it from PSU tier list, link: https://forums. You'll find it under Tier C. While all those that i suggested (and am personally using as well), are all Tier A. So, your call what to do. Personally, i wouldn't power the PC on at all, until i have new, good/great quality PSU in there.
Wow, that's impressive. I'm not sure if everything is going to work out, but I'll go with the second choice and get a new PSU in a few days. I'll reach out to my uncle since he works on PCs and ask him to assist with installation and cleaning while I'm there. It's a bit dusty around here, and I haven't replaced the thermal paste, so I'm hoping nothing goes wrong until then. Thanks a lot for your help—I was really stressed and didn't know what to do.
