The manual specifies C8H.CAP on pages 2-14. Did you verify the correct flashback port? If needed, I download the file to my desktop, unzip it, rename the file to the xxx.CAP format, transfer it to the USB, power down the system, and then perform the BIOS flash.

I've attempted the same format and the light remains active. It's using the proper port as indicated on the rear IO. I've also imported the BIOS directly from the ASUS MMO site and applied the provided renamer.

Disconnected the system and took out the CMOS battery. I plan to leave it charging overnight and check the results tomorrow morning. I'll let you know after testing.

I don't understand why it doesn't function properly unless the USB is faulty or the memory is damaged. You don't have to wait overnight—removing the CMOS battery will cause the capacitors to drain right away if you press the power button without it.

MOBO has been swapped for an ASUS X570 Strix at the moment. I also reached out to ASUS support, who advised me to send it in, hoping they can resolve it instead of using the Hero board.

Thank you very much for your help in trying to understand the problem. I’ll keep you updated if they provide more details about the issue.

Thanks again and have a great day!
