Hello everyone. I’m experiencing some unusual issues with my PC. I recently installed PUBG and EAFC, and when I’m in the lobby for around 30 seconds, my screen suddenly freezes completely. I can’t do anything and have no way to fix it. I need to shut down the computer using the case button. This happens with EAFC too, but if I stay in the menu or lobby for about 2-3 minutes without doing anything, the same thing occurs. While playing in the game, there’s no crashing or freezing of the screen. I’ve tried everything: reinstalling Windows, games, drivers (graphics, motherboard, etc.), updating VCore runtimes, and even changed my RAM to 2x8GB Kingston Fury 3200 MHz. Now I have a GTX 1070, Ryzen 5 3600, and a Samsung 500 GB SSD. If there’s anything I should do, please let me know, I’m getting really frustrated.

I don't have the specific details about your PSU's make, model, or age. Could you provide more information or clarify?

Sorry for the delayed response. It's the I-Arena series, Chieftec 500 w, roughly three years ago.

That's a pretty "low tier" poor quality PSU model from Chieftec. Definitely not meant to used on any gaming PC. Please get a high quality power supply for your PC.
But here comes my confusion/doubt.
As per your observation, the game ONLY crashes/freezes while in Lobby, and/or game menu, and not when you are gaming ? So if this PSU was indeed the culprit here, then the game should be crashing elsewhere as well.
But in any case, we can't deny that this PSU model is a low cheap quality unit. I would actually not recommend continue using this to power up your gaming PC, regardless of whether it works or not.

Consider replacing that PSU-shaped item with a higher-quality version. It could work well as a doorstop, but it wouldn't suit a gaming PC needing external PCIe power connections.
