Hey everyone, I’m back after a year trying to solve the same issue again, this time with the latest Beta for COD MW3. The problem is still there, and I haven’t found a real fix yet. For six months the game ran smoothly without any problems, but then I had to uninstall it for space reasons. After downloading again, it restarted at 7-15 frames per second and used only about 7% CPU and 10% GPU, especially noticeable in menus and multiplayer sessions. I followed all the usual steps: checked the game files, reinstalled, adjusted CPU priorities, set affinity, changed some file settings for 8 cores, ensured XMP was enabled, toggled efficiency cores, verified drivers were up to date, rolled back updates, updated BIOS and drivers. Still stuck—hopefully someone has a better solution or tips I can try. My system is a high-end PC, so I’m curious if my specs are too demanding. I was consistently hitting over 200 FPS at 1440p for that whole time.

Nvidia GPU? Maybe. If it is, go with the June 2022 drivers, version 516.40. They seem to be the top choice Nvidia offers currently. Of course, before installing, make sure to use DDU and perform a clean install. I already have that driver version on a flash drive and it’s helped fix many problems so far. It’s been performing surprisingly well thus far.
