I recently assembled a PC with your assistance, and everything has been functioning well so far. I was satisfied with its speed and didn’t expect any issues for the next few years. However, this morning I encountered a problem where my PC wouldn’t post properly. Everything seemed normal the night before. After turning it off, sleeping normally, and then turning it back on, it still wouldn’t boot. Initially, I suspected a monitor issue, but upon inspection, the DRAM LED displayed a solid red color. This situation had occurred before, only during the initial setup. After updating the BIOS and installing Windows, things resolved. I tried various troubleshooting steps—reinstalling RAM, checking slot connections—but nothing worked. Eventually, I managed to boot using just one stick in slot A2. I turned off EXPO and was able to start with both sticks. The longer explanation reveals that cycling a RAM stick caused the fans to increase and stay at maximum speed repeatedly. This affected all slots initially, including when I placed a stick in slot B2. At one point, the fans returned to idle after a brief run, but nothing changed on the monitor. I eventually disabled EXPO and booted again, successfully accessing BIOS. Once I re-enabled EXPO and connected the second stick into slot B2, I was able to boot normally. After several restarts, I still faced posting problems. I unplugged the second stick from B2 and returned it to slot A2, where I could access BIOS. Eventually, I got a boot failure on the monitor and reached BIOS again. Disabling EXPO and connecting the second stick into slot B2 allowed me to boot the OS, with the DRAM LED turning off. After another restart, I re-enabled EXPO and successfully posted. My current concern is whether this isn’t related to faulty RAM, memory slots, voltage issues, or BIOS configuration. I’m using the FCa BIOS on a Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite Ax model (rev 1.2). My RAM isn’t listed on the MOBO compatibility page, but it appears in the RAM QVL list. I’m checking my part list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/srrCdH. The BIOS page I accessed at that time showed EXPO disabled, which aligns with my troubleshooting steps.

Are you overthinking this? Should I clear the CMOS? Update the BIOS? Return the RAM? I need to decide before the 30-day return period ends, since I invested a lot. Could the CPU struggle with the 6000 MHz? It’s meant for up to 5200, but many people use it at 6000. Is it a matter of luck with the RAM? Could swapping in a new kit help?

I'm facing the same problem with the same motherboard and supported RAM (CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K). I upgraded my PC with the B650 Aorus Elite AX Rev 1.2, a Ryzen 5 7600X and 32 GB RAM. It functioned properly for a week, but recently I encountered issues while switching to Discord. The game ran smoothly until I changed the tab, then the mouse became extremely sluggish—about one frame every five seconds. After restarting, Discord closed abruptly, and closing the game window remained very slow. It looped repeatedly trying to boot, maxing the fans for around 30 seconds with the DRAM LED on before stopping. After rebooting, it started looping again. I disabled the PSU and turned it back on, then tried booting again. This time it worked. I used the Windows tool MDSCHED to check memory and found no errors. I'm using the FB version of the BIOS, but it seemed to work before. Have you managed to resolve this?

I just changed the bios to version Fc and restored expo without problems. It seems your issue might be related to a beta bios version.

I also had to refresh my profile. Apologies, I didn<|pad|> to miss this earlier—it's been quite a holiday season.
