PC bypasses BIOS, VGA light remains off in Windows World fine
Hi, I just upgraded my PC from a GTX 970 with a Ryzen 3 3100 and an A320 motherboard to an RX 570 with a Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB RAM. When I assembled the system, my monitor had no display and only the VGA light was visible. The next day I brought it to a local repair shop, which said it booted up fine on the first try and returned it. I took it home and called them again—they suggested trying it on a TV, where it worked normally in the BIOS and everything else functioned correctly except for the resolution not showing in Windows. They asked if I wanted a fresh Windows installation or to keep the current one, which had all the old GTX 970 drivers still installed. They mentioned they removed the GeForce drivers and installed AMD drivers. Now the PC boots into Windows but still shows the VGA light and doesn’t display the BIOS screen at all. I’ve tried accessing BIOS on the TV, but it doesn’t work. I’m unsure what the issue might be.
The cables are correct, my CPU lacks an integrated GPU. The monitor they checked at the store had a resolution of 2560x1440p at 165 Hz, while mine is 1920x1080 at 144 Hz.
