Plan a PC setup for smooth performance in Minecraft and Forza Horizon 5. Aim for Intel CPU paired with an Nvidia GPU. Include PHP development tasks and virtual machines on Linux. Consider the Intel 12700K and Nvidia RTX 3050 with 32GB RAM as a solid choice. Target 1080p at 120Hz in your gaming setup, using DDR4 memory. The integrated graphics in the 12700K should work well in a VM. Let me know if you need more ideas, I’m not rushing. P.S. You’re currently using a Dell OptiPlex 9020 with 32GB RAM for Minecraft.

Gather a budget estimate. Here’s a concise overview you can adjust:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6 GHz (~$370)
- Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A (~$110)
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 (~$130)
- RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (~$150)
- Storage: 1 TB NVMe SSD (~$100)
- Graphics: EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 8GB (~$350)
- Case: Meshify C Mini MicroATX ($120)
- PSU: Corsair RMx 550W (~$90)

Total comes to roughly $1,400. Prices vary with deals and retailers.

I updated several details on the list. I switched to DDR5 and added water cooling. All components were purchased from Amazon. Performance is much quicker than a 4th gen i7 vPro with built-in GPU. The total amount shown was $2,315.20 (US).
