Pc boots normally but then stops during startup after I increased his speed via AMD Overdrive.
Today I tried boosting my PC with AMD Overdrive, but it performed okay yet showed some lag. I then increased the voltage and CPU settings to 23x, which caused the system to shut down completely. After that, I attempted to restart the computer and reset the CMOS using the jumpers. I did this about 20 minutes ago, using a screwdriver, turning off the PC with the power button, unplugging it, and touching the jumpers while holding the power. However, when I turned it back on, the system asked which profile to load for CMOS and I selected the default. It then restarted itself again. Now I’m unsure what to do next—every time I turn it on, it keeps shutting down every 15 to 20 seconds. I’m trying to run it in safe mode, but it also crashes when I attempt that. My processor is an AMD FX 6300 and I don’t remember the exact motherboard model, though I know it’s from MSI. Please help me if you’re familiar with this situation so I don’t have to send my PC for repair.
My PC is working now, I took it to a local repair shop and they fixed the issue. However, I still face another problem – I keep seeing an "atikmpag.sys" error. My video drivers are all up to date, and temperatures stay below 29°C. It might be that I need a different cooler since I only have one. Thanks for your response.
I ensure the driver reaches full functionality before proceeding. Typically, I remove it via DDU in safe mode and then reinstall a verified version.
