PC benchmarking tools for evaluating system performance.
Hi All,
I'm curious about the benchmarking tools you use for your PCs. Mostly for gaming performance, but I'm also checking CPU, hard drive, and RAM tests. The top concern is how well these programs measure game-related performance.
I'm planning to upgrade my PC and might get a GTX 5080. I'll compare it with my current card to see the improvement.
Thanks,
Vanz
3DMark is available for free on Steam. It offers a decent comparison of your scores without being fully equipped, and it also lets you compare with others.
Cinebench is always enjoyable.
Furmark
And yes, any game you own. Just ensure you adjust the settings and restart the game if needed—sometimes the computer between card changes and settings updates can cause issues. (It's often noted that games may not fully reset shaders or other elements when switched directly between cards.)
Good points, thanks. I'll probably check 3DMark for Furmark and assume FutureMark for the others. It's been over five years since I ran a benchmark, and it's a bit puzzling there aren't many well-received ones now.
