PC behaving oddly (random freezing, no drive detection, and no PCI/BlueZ connection)
In the past night my computer began behaving oddly. It first had my mouse freeze for a few seconds before returning, so I changed to another mouse and the problem continued. I looked for any recent updates from Windows and Logitech, but everything was current. After restarting, I noticed the Bluetooth PCI expansion card wasn’t showing up. I removed it, tested it on another system, and it functioned properly. Then I tried a different PCI slot, which resolved the issue, but now my (E) drive wasn’t being detected. I went through removing and testing the drive on another machine, and it worked perfectly.
I’m really puzzled. Either I need to fix the Bluetooth or accept that I’ll have an E drive.
Also, just to note, this PC has run smoothly for about two years.
I’ve narrowed it down to possible motherboard or PSU problems. I thought about sharing my experience and seeing if anyone else has similar issues.
