Windows 10, a 4600k processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1660 Ti graphics card, a 850W power supply unit, 16GB of RAM, and an MSI Gaming X mobo. While playing League of Legends at consistently high frame rates (120-144fps), the game began freezing, occurring for approximately 45-60 seconds followed by a return to normal operation. This freezing event occurred roughly once every five minutes, and was random in nature. Recently, I experienced a disk usage error where disk utilization reached 100% even when the system was idle. Updating drivers with DriverEasy resolved this issue, however subsequent gameplay now exhibits freezing behavior. I seek potential solutions or ideas regarding the cause of these freezes.

My program froze without gaming, and after checking the task manager, my CPU usage spiked significantly. It then returned to normal levels. Could high CPU usage spikes be the cause? I also ran my antivirus software, and it found no issues.

Execute malware scans utilizing Malwarebytes; it is a reliable solution. Avoid using driver checking and updating tools due to their questionable reliability.

My problem is comparable, though it lasts less time.
