PC automatically resets BIOS upon power shutdown
Hello
My parts are as follows:
CPU - i7-8700k delid 5ghz
Mobo - Asus ROG strix z370f
RAM - 32 gb Corsair dominator platinum rgb (cmt32gx4m2d3600c18)
GPU - asus tuf rtx 3080 10gb
Storage - m2 samsung 970 1tb - samsung ssd 1tb
PSU - corsair rmx 1000W 80 plus gold
Cooling - Aio Corsair h100i pro
Initially, based on the RAM compatibility info, these modules aren't compatible with the Mobo.
My overclocking configuration:
- tuner manual
- no XMP enabled
- asus multicore disabled
- all cores synced to 50
- svid disabled
- ram speed set between 3200-3400 with auto timings
- power level at 6 and T.Probe
- manual vcore at 1.35, manual VRAM at 1.36
- System operates normally at default memory speed and timings 2133mhz
However, when I increase the frequency to 3200-3400 with 1.36 VRAM, the system fails to boot and displays a BIOS error, reverting to the default state. This issue occurs intermittently—sometimes it works, other times not.
Is there any solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance
Just replaced the CMOS battery, and everything is functioning properly. The RAM speed is set to 3200mhz with XMP settings, and it passed all stress tests.
After 4 days and multiple power cycles, changing the CMOS battery helped.
