PC automatically muting and locking mute functions
I've been experiencing this problem more often lately. My computer seems to mute itself randomly while I'm watching a video, whether it's streaming or playing MPC-HC. No matter what, when I try to increase the volume, it always comes back to mute. The only solution that works is to shut it down and restart. Recently, I updated the Realtek audio drivers, which is really frustrating because it also removed my Audio Manager interface.
We're going to need a little more info.
What version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you on? As for your sound card, are you working with a discrete sound card or the one bundled with your motherboard? If so, then please mention the make and model of your motherboard and it's BIOS version.
If you're using an USB driven headset/speaker then include the make and model of the audio equipment. Does your keyboard have a volume toggle button or rotary dial?

Yes, I use a Logitech K270. When I touched the sound controls, it turned off automatically, but didn’t come back when I switched it off. This was the first time it happened—previously it was completely random and didn’t involve any admin action.
