I'm setting up my first PC and reviewed videos suggesting underclocking with PBO2 for optimal performance. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G with 2x8GB RAM at 3600Mhz. I'm unsure which GPU—MSI A520M-A Pro or Gigabyte B450M-K—supports PBO2 and its curve tuning. Could you help me decide? Thanks!

Budget options are limited, but used Polaris RX 570/580 models under $50 offer solid performance. Even with a basic dual-core 4600 DDR4 setup, they outperform many entry-level Vega GPUs. For lower budgets under $500, you can assemble a capable gaming rig using refurbished components—especially if you upgrade RAM and remove the case. In Indonesia, a Ryzen 5500 + 6700X build around $500 is feasible with used parts, and you can further reduce costs by adding more RAM or skipping the case.

I’m a user from the Philippines. I forgot to mention the GPU. I’m trying to lower the voltage on my Ryzen 5 5600G and RX 580 to prevent the PSU from overheating during gaming.

Check if you already have the components or not. The budget is in PHP and USD. SEA country offers many Chinese products at low prices, often beating Western brands while matching quality and performance. I’m from India—please know. It’s not recommended to spend over 40$ on a case with plenty of affordable airflow options (some even include RGB fans). The used market here has good deals on GPUs, PSUs, and cooling boards, so focus on those when buying secondhand. I’ve checked Shopee in the Philippines before and saw some used items and cheap Chinese products too.

I own the whole setup except the motherboard, my enclosure is fairly large but manageable. I have six fans, four intake vents and two exhausts. I purchased everything new for a total of $500, taking advantage of Shopee discounts. Since I only use it about four hours each night, I’m considering lowering the voltage on my CPU and GPU to save power.

He mentions having a Ryzen 5 5600G, indicating he needs a motherboard to install it.

For the $500 build, it's okay if it's not great but it works fine. When it comes to motherboards, just check out the used B450/450 boards—especially the low-end ones from GigaBTC—they often lack good BIOS support, so I’d skip those for tuning. Instead, look for a used ASUS ASAudio or MSI board.

If you want to lower power usage, an RX 580 running at around 100W is possible if you set it to 85% voltage and use 1100 cores with medium/no overclock. You could aim for about 4.5GHz all-core speed.

You're referring to a setting where the model's performance might be limited. Using the Curve optimizer with a value of -30 or lower, as suggested in the tutorial, could help improve results.

These boards are built for 65W power usage and have tight voltage regulation in their VRM design. You're welcome to experiment, though you may need to think outside the box for cooling solutions. It's best to invest in a reliable board soon if you can.
