Hello,
With your Ryzen 7 3700X on an Aorus Pro B550 AC motherboard, I'm using the PC for content creation and rendering. Should I turn on PBO for regular use? It seems the temperatures stay between 33 and 72°C during peak loads when PBO is active—does it affect the CPU lifespan? Is it safe to keep it enabled all the time?

Consensus reached on managing temperature with PBO. However, issues should only arise when heavily loading the CPU with multi-core tasks. Continuous 24-hour use isn't likely to cause significant heating, as everyday desktop activities and gaming won't raise temperatures much.
The advantage of PBO lies in its adaptive boost algorithm, which continues safeguarding the CPU, ensuring performance remains stable even under sustained conditions.

72C isn't an issue - as long as temperatures stay controlled, there shouldn't be any problems using PBO.

Consensus is that managing temperature is crucial with PBO. However, you should only encounter temperature issues when heavily loading the CPU with multi-core tasks. Running it continuously won't cause significant heating during regular desktop activities or gaming. The advantage of PBO lies in its boost algorithm, which helps safeguard the CPU; if temperatures rise above mid-80°C, it will revert to previous clock settings. Maintaining a temperature around mid-70s provides the performance gains you desire with PBO.

Times aren't that crucial because a very large cooler can maintain low temperatures; it's the Vcore that might affect the CPU. You should check the BIOS to confirm the motherboard manufacturer doesn't rely heavily on Vcore. As for PBO, it's fine.

i have pbo installed on my 3700x but i have some worries about its longevity.
my pc's are over ten years old and have always been updated, yet they still run smoothly.
try to keep temperatures low and let pbo handle itself.
remember, pbo only works when there is enough power and space available.
it doesn’t run at full capacity nonstop; it boosts only when necessary and only if it’s safe to do so.
