I actually secured my copy because my boyfriend pushed me to play PayDay2 with him for roughly a year and a half, though I never intended to buy the game since I think it’s just not worth it. Still, he insisted on playing for free. Different story.

I don't understand the reason behind the game being free at the moment. It might be due to an upcoming update, encouraging players to switch from the regular version to the Ultimate Edition later.
