I often encounter black screens while playing Payday 2 at random moments across various contracts. No solution has consistently resolved the issue for more than ten minutes before the game freezes. Once this happens, I’m forced to restart my PC because the process won’t terminate, even with PSkill enabled. I’d really appreciate any assistance you can provide. These are the steps I’ve attempted so far: placing a "D3D9_40.dll" in the root folder, disabling the Steam overlay, reinstalling the game as instructed. The fixes only work temporarily and then give way, allowing the game to crash eventually.
