I recently bought a new system for a reasonable cost. The key factor was the Gigabyte B450m DS3H v2, which supports the latest BIOS updates for Ryzen 5000 processors. I also purchased a 64GB RAM kit for $70, featuring Patriot Viper Steel RGB. The first thing I observed is that the RAM isn’t listed in RGBfusion or the Viper RGB software. When checking HWinfo, it shows the RAM as unknown (attached photo). Both devices appear to be present, with correct sizes and stable performance; I was able to set XMP profiles in the BIOS. Anyone know how to resolve this, or did I receive a fake RAM? My main goal is to enable RGB control so I can turn it off when the computer powers down, preventing my room from lighting up.

Consider changing the order of the sticks as suggested in the instructions. Check the manual for slot placement details. Read the discussion thread for more insights.

OpenRGB functions properly. Currently the lighting is disabled. I’ll try different effects and compare them to the ones I’ve made for my Razer keyboard and mouse.
