Hey! The installation is failing because there isn’t enough storage space available. Your SSD has plenty of room—over 30GB free—but the patch only needs about 5.5GB. The Steam download manager shows a higher requirement, likely due to a miscalculation or outdated info. You can try moving the game to your larger HDD (2TB) and see if that works, but you’ll need to update the game first. Let me know what you try!

An alternative approach. These aren't the top ideas I've heard. Simply remove the game, then reinstall it but switch the download sources to your 2TB storage. I did this specifically for Destiny 2 on an NVMe drive to reduce loading times. Just a heads up, you'll receive the latest update after completing this.

Shift another game temporarily or handle other tasks to free up space for updating the CP.

When the download states it will be 50gb, consider removing the game from your SSD and uploading it again to your HDD.

I don’t have a clear answer yet, but I’ll try to give you some insight. The process might take similar time to the first one, though your internet issues could slow things down. If you need your PC quickly for work, it’s best to check the estimated duration and see if you can access it sooner.

The file isn't actually 50GB, but the updates are poorly handled. It only downloads 5GB of patches, then creates a temporary copy and swaps them in. After the update, the game grows to around 63GB, but during the process it uses up to 120GB while applying the changes. This could take forever on an HDD.

My SSD capacity is mostly under 50GB. The biggest item in Minecraft: Java Edition is 1.1GB.

You could simply remove the game and reinstall it on the same SSD. This would ensure only the updated version is downloaded, and you’d be limited to 63GB during the process.

Uncertain about any tricks during the first setup too... but the user mentioned they already have poor internet speed
