I bought the Asus ROG G14 GA401-QM on April 7, 2021 from Best Buy's website. When trying to adjust BIOS settings, I was asked to enter a password and if I pressed Enter it would redirect me to the main screen showing "administrative password installed." Some options become hidden. I attempted a BIOS password recovery by pressing ALT+R but it didn’t work, only letting me type characters. Can you find a way to remove this BIOS password without returning it or paying a high fee?

Can you start Windows? The BIOS password on my laptop is blocking it, even after resetting. The simplest solution seems to be clearing the BIOS settings by either removing the CMOS battery or using the dedicated jumper/switch if available. You’ll likely need to open the laptop for that. If that fails, reaching out to ASUS support might be your only choice.

I don't think I have a jumper for Mu Model and I can actually start Windows.

I reached out to ASUS, but because it's no longer covered, it would cost a lot to send it in for a diagnostic fee that I wanted to skip.
