With two hard drives linked, one SSD for Windows 10 and an HDD for general use, if the Windows 10 installation was completed normally on the SSD but the boot partition ended up on the HDD, it might be feasible to relocate it. It’s advisable to avoid such scenarios by disconnecting the HDD during setup. If this has already occurred, the boot partition would likely reside on the C: drive that originally held Windows XP. In that case, Windows 10 could attempt to use the C: partition from XP as its system drive and incorporate the necessary boot files.
For EFI boot setup, it's recommended to make a fresh EFI boot partition on your chosen drive. The guidance I found here (https://www.tenforums.com/installation-u...post698505) only allows MBR booting and doesn't support EFI, meaning you're probably using CSM enabled. In that scenario, Windows 10 will modify the MBR rather than creating a separate EFI partition.
