Partition Issues with Boot Sector?
I changed my PC into a new case (Fractal Define R4 → Fractal Torrent Compact). Before the switch: Boot Drive – nvme AData Other Drives – SATA Samsung 256x2 After the change: SATA Samsung 1tb x2 It seems Windows performed some boot partition tricks and the PC only starts when I connect the two old Samsung drives. Do you know how to fix this so the NVMe boots properly? Since Windows is installed on the NVMe, it doesn’t make sense in my mind.
Do you remember those Samsung units where the Windows installer was placed on a different drive? It seems the system often switches the Boot Loader to another location while keeping the main installation drive active. The process starts with BIOS, moves to the Boot Loader, then to the Windows partition. If the Boot Loader vanishes, the system can't start properly.
