The goal is what people expect. It usually comes down to how many Windows versions you've installed on the drive, the upgrade steps taken, and whether settings stayed consistent. Windows 10 and 11 handle major changes well and continue functioning. However, I've seen drives that moved from older versions like 7 or 8 to 10/11 often not working properly afterward.

Hard disk with Windows 10 won’t be swapped, only the motherboard needs updating; it seems better to just reinstall drivers for the motherboard instead of dealing with the same issue. In that scenario, getting the latest drivers would be the best option, especially since you’d want a top-tier DDR5 motherboard.
