Just checking if the Nvidia control panel can change game settings. For instance, if you turn off ambient occlusion in the panel but still have it enabled in a game, does that affect the game's behavior?

When you disable it in the NVIDIA settings, it takes precedence over the game configurations, correct.

Both the Nvidia Control Panel and the game's settings menu are available. It doesn't really matter which one you use, though in the Control Panel you can't adjust specific options. Note: I was checking GeForce Experience.
