Hello, I've begun a role at a logistics management firm handling networking gear from a leading ISP in my country. The inventory ranges from public infrastructure hardware (including pay phones) to private switches, UPS systems, and occasionally custom products. We sometimes need to build items in SAP, but we often encounter obscure branded patch cords—hard to locate details online. Personnel familiar with SAP might have useful insights. Cisco offers a feature on their site where you can input a serial number to retrieve hardware specifications and part numbers. Are there reliable platforms or B2B marketplaces where you can find durable equipment, specialty items like patch cords, and unusual brands with comprehensive information? Thanks ahead.

For new items, suitable inventory entries should be placed in a plastic bag labeled with the product number. When dealing with used goods, create generic products and sort them by attributes such as CAT rating, length, and color. This way, all random blue 3m CAT5 units are grouped together in the same category.

I wasn't asked about handling the inventory since it's set by the organization, but a system or location with advanced networking tools. It's a large firm, so I'm not mixing items into the same category.
