If you're looking for DX12, it seems like a solid improvement over 11. Based on what we know, W10 appears to be the sole alternative, making an upgrade potentially worthwhile if DX12 remains exclusive to it. For the rest of the details, I'm not sure—just keep an eye on things.

It's a fair point. Windows 8 really does offer good gaming performance. I personally find it superior to Windows 7.
