Seems pretty interesting, honestly. I have no idea what it is or its origins, sorry about that.

That's the Win 10 San Francisco update? You can turn it off by right-clicking the taskbar or adjusting its settings, since it appears there. I haven't seen it before.

Seems like a Microsoft take on Google Doodle, but with a bolder style

It's some bullsh*t integration of Microsoft Edge into the task bar, methinks... I kinda need to use search from time to time, I just want this bullsh*t gone. It's irritating.

Consider turning it off now. It might be available in Microsoft Edge experimental features or in Windows taskbar settings. You can also disable the search bar—it consumes a lot of space. If needed, just press the Windows key and start typing to search instead.

Begin the process by launching Start and begin typing to initiate the search. The search bar is not required.

The main issue is that something has been added to my taskbar that I don’t want and I’d like it removed. I’m moving to Linux because of this. I’m really tired of Microshaft and their nonsense. I paid for my hardware in full and bought a retail version of Windows 10 against my better judgment. Now, besides other things, I’m being forced to install unwanted features through updates. It’s like the digital version of Barney the Dinosaur or Blue’s Clues playing on repeat forever.

Can't proceed. Uninstall and Modify options are disabled. Someone could assist with moving to Ubuntu or another OS? I’ve had issues with this system before. Microsoft, especially Bill Gates, seems to have created a problematic product. They’re not actively involved anymore, but their influence remains. People like LibreOffice or OpenOffice are preferred. It feels like Microsoft treats our software use suspiciously—like a creepy version of Green Eggs and Ham. We definitely don’t want that. I won’t use Edge or any Microsoft service. Their updates really annoy me. Please help me switch to Ubuntu if possible. I’m not okay with this. My PC is in danger, keep your distance! JFC, now I’m mocking Dr. Seuss... "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry..." I’m serious—if I can’t get rid of this, I need guidance on switching to Ubuntu or something else.

I navigated to an option for removing Windows updates. I’m cautiously hoping this resolves the issue. Yet my system still seems to reach out to the Microshaft base station. If this trend continues, I’m willing to discard the paid version of Windows if it means switching to a Linux distribution. I’m unsure whether Wine functions well on Ubuntu, especially since I rarely use Microshaft tools. My goal is to play certain Windows games like American Truck Simulator or BeamNG.drive, and I’ve heard recent updates for Wine significantly improve compatibility. If not Ubuntu, what alternatives are there? Are you referring to Gentoo?
