You're starting fresh with a completely new build. That's great! Your current setup is solid for gaming, but upgrading components can affect things like storage and drive compatibility. When moving your OS, it's best to use a reliable installation method—like using Windows Installer or a trusted bootable USB—to avoid data loss. Regarding installing the new OS on your SSD, yes, it will format the drive, so you'll need to create a bootable USB first and follow the steps carefully. If you're unsure, consider backing up important files before proceeding. Let me know if you need more details!

Wait for zen3 and Ampere. If you purchase now, it will likely fail badly with a 3900x. It becomes useless if you're just playing and only need to reinstall Windows during a motherboard upgrade.

Just perform a fresh setup—it's always the optimal solution. You don't need to purchase a new one. Occasionally you might need to contact Microsoft for a license transfer. @gloop The 3900x isn't ideal solely for gaming, but it's still quite useful.

Discussing the process of setting up Windows or contacting support. Both steps are simple and don't require detailed instructions.

I don't feel the need to comment further. Right now, I won't purchase anything. The prices are extremely high because of the current circumstances, and new CPUs are just around the horizon. This makes it hard to rebuild demand since everyone is rushing to clear their inventory quickly, leading to small orders. That way, no one ends up with outdated hardware they don't want. If you're tempted, I'd consider it. You might be let down when you realize you've spent all your money and a better, possibly cheaper option will appear soon.
