Consider starting in safe mode. Typically you achieve this by pressing Shift while choosing to restart. Additionally, you might want to use Malwarebytes to check for any issues.

Safe mode provides a limited system environment to help diagnose issues without full functionality. It differs from normal mode by restricting certain features and services, making it safer to troubleshoot problems.

Safe mode starts up with minimal drivers and a few services running. It's mainly used for testing. Run MalWare Bytes and perform a scan.

Open Task Manager to check memory usage—see which processes consume the most. If nothing stands out, restart the system and install Malware Bytes. Enjoy a 15-day premium trial. Perform a detailed scan. If no threats appear, remove any new software you’ve added.

Sure to give it a shot! Thanks to @Gremlin_FLG and @Fasauceome. If MalWare Bytes fails, I'll reinstall Windows like @Stu_Bear suggested earlier.

Remove the newest software you just installed. If this doesn’t work, try reinstalling Windows.
