Hello, yes. Another update about RAM costs. I'm trying to make a thoughtful decision and need some guidance because my mind feels cloudy. It's tough when you're not familiar with buying PC components and prefer giving things away instead of trading. Last year I purchased some UDIMM RAM (Patriot Viper Steel, 64GB, 2x32GB, PVS464G360C8K). This experience showed me that price isn't the only factor to consider. I'm unsure how to set a fair asking price for this RAM. It's brand new, unused, untouched, and untouched from the packaging. I didn’t even leave my fingerprints on it. Camelcamelcamel lists it at $1200 CAD now. But is that realistic? Pcpartpicker estimates around $1000. The last sale on eBay was $450 in December. eBay takes about 10% upfront, so if I push too hard and it doesn’t sell, I lose out. Someone suggested using Amazon to sell it, but I have no idea how that would work. It seems a bit risky, but I’m not sure. Thanks for the info, Spoiler.

Typically, pricing RAM involves comparing similar kits rather than targeting an exact model, because unless it's a very special set (like Trident Z Royal or Dominator Platimum), most buyers won’t pay more for the same performance. Aim for a realistic price range based on what others are selling. If you need to undercut by around $20, check platforms like eBay—similar 64GB kits usually sell between $250 and $300. Position your listing near the lower end of that spectrum. While many listings aren’t new, if you plan to sell on eBay, it won’t significantly impact your profit compared to other factors. Alternatively, consider a bidding auction starting low; it lets the market determine the final price and often results in a fairer outcome.

I concur with the others and propose auctioning it off at a premium price to gauge interest. Include your desired amount plus fees, but expect to fall short of $1,000.

Thank you for your message. I'm just an enthusiast with limited experience, but I'm always eager to learn more. Selling things hasn't really clicked with me before. Your thoughtful guidance is very useful and well thought out. It's a real blessing to have someone patient and kind who understands my perspective.
