I aim to watch games online but often face streaming delays. Sometimes performance is smooth at 4kbps, then it plummets to around 800kbps or even drops completely. My internet should support speeds of 120/25, and I confirm those numbers during tests. I've moved the router closer to the network hub, changed DNS providers, used various streaming services, and even had an ISP technician check it—still no resolution. When testing to Twitch.tv, my ping shows a 99% packet loss on link 4, which is really puzzling. I'm using a 3900x, 1080ti display with an Ethernet connection. Any advice would be invaluable.

Have you encountered similar problems with other devices? Have you checked if another cable or port works on your router or switch?

The issue lies between hop 3 and 4. Many packets aren’t reaching their destination or can’t retrieve ACKs. If TDC.net is your service provider, you’ll likely need an L2 or L3 technical support specialist to investigate the problem. An L1 won’t understand what’s missing in their procedures, and a field technician won’t be able to help.
