The issue seems to be with the system detecting the raid card properly but not functioning correctly afterward. Despite having a good controller, stable PCIe slots, and a board that supports two GPUs, the system fails to boot or respond. The BIOS is up to date, and the firmware is current. Consider checking if the RAID card is recognized by the OS, verifying power delivery, and ensuring no conflicting drivers are active.

Servers might have varying power setups. Could this be why it pulls so much current from the PCIe lane? What type of PSU are you using? Have you tried other motherboards? Or is this specific to the server you received?

I verified it on another platform and it functions with your Asus X370 board, paired with a 550 W cooler power supply.

Was der gleiche PSU auch auf Ihrem X370-Board verwendet?

It shows a 1200 watt PSU, yet the PCIe lanes aren't distributing power equally...

I chose to switch the raid card to an Areca 1882i, I’m hoping it won’t face the same issues
