P-72 details from CIG-Matt Sherman
P-72 Archimedes is set to be a high-speed version of the P-52 Merlin. It will outpace the Merlin while being lighter overall. The original gun has been swapped with an intake system for refueling boosts. It will carry four fixed weapons mounted on wings, and it should weigh about 1000kg less than the Merlin thanks to the removal of the gun and its ammunition storage. Both the P-52 and P-72 will share a docking system, making them compatible across compatible Constellations. With full implementation of Physics-based damage, overheating mechanics will also be fully active. Too much heat can harm components and nearby areas, so managing temperature and power will become crucial. This update may affect system overclocking capabilities. Currently, version 1.3.0f is in development for ptu—patches are arriving quickly. That's all!
Great update! It wasn't what I expected—it was actually designed for racing, not just a regular version. Early designs suggested a two-passenger, wider vessel.
It seems like you're excited about the progress. Updates are coming regularly, so we'll be able to see it live soon!
Consider asking Megan-Cig in the chat for sock and sandal suggestions—she’s likely involved with the in-game fashion designs.
I don't have specific details on the availability of the P-52 for individual purchase. You may need to check official sources or retailers for updates.
The typical slogan is when the hangar is prepared; I’d bet it’s not too long before we see it, since it’s essentially a tweak of the existing P-52 and should move from out of commission to operational in the same way. CIG doesn’t provide timelines anymore, so our best estimates are the only option at this point.
